A Conversation With Author Ellen Hopkins - April 24th

Ellen is the New York Times best selling author of 15 YA books, as well as two middle grade novels and four novels for adult readers.  Her novels, explore themes of family, relationships, addiction/recover, teenage experiences. She has been lauded for promoting empathy and understanding for people - especially young people -- facing difficult life circumstances.

Ellen also holds the unwanted distinction of having three of her books banned statewide in Utah, including Tilt, Fallout, and most recently Tricks.  The Utah State Board of Education can overturn the statewide ban on Tricks if they take action by May 5th.

Rebekah Cummings, Co-Chair of the Utah Library Association Advocacy Committee will be hosting the conversation with Ellen.
